Councillor Tim Rowkins
Councillor Tim Rowkins is Deputy Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council and serves as Cabinet Member for Net Zero & Environmental Services. In this role, he leads the city’s work on climate action, decarbonisation and the transition to a circular economy, alongside responsibility for waste, recycling, street cleansing and public toilets.
He has played a central role in developing and delivering major initiatives to improve recycling, introduce citywide food waste collections, refurbish and reopen the city’s public toilets and accelerate investment in low-carbon infrastructure and nature recovery. Alongside his cabinet responsibilities, he represents Hanover & Elm Grove ward and works closely with residents and local partners to improve neighbourhood services and deliver practical, place-based solutions.
