Sarah-Helen Snow
Sarah has always enjoyed history. As a result of spending consecutive summers in the Middle East during the early 1980’s, she was able to develop this interest when she went on to read for her degree in History and Archaeology. In the late 90’s she taught in Egypt and used this opportunity to travel in the area to visit many sites of historic interest.
In this course, students will be introduced to the various cultures which made the Middle East their home. They shall look at how so many of the stories with which they are familiar have their origins in this area and will learn more about the people who inhabited the cradle of civilisation.
By exploring this region, it is hoped that students will see how this part of the world, its ancient monuments and relics represent a fascinating part of history, all too often overlooked.
