| Event Description |
This talk is a part of the programme of events supporting the major art exhibition at The Grange over this summer, celebrating the life and art of EQ Nicholson, which focusses on the Alderholt Mill years.
We have great pleasure to welcome Carolyn Trant to Rottingdean who is an expert on the life of EQ Nicholson, whose work we will be exhibiting at the Grange from 18th July to 29 August 2026. Carolyn will give an illustrated talk which will explore a joyful creative relationship through John Craxton’s delightfully visual letters to EQ. Discussing music, travels, and the work of other artists, they show how they shared ideas and influences and illuminate EQ’s lively personality.
