Course Description
This course will guide you through a myriad of techniques you can use when combining collage with acrylic. We will be looking at layering, torn and mosaic collage, texture, natural and found collage, relief, abstract, still life, glazing, acrylic technique and more. Students will be given time to work on their own choice of project and as usual we will also be looking at other artists work both past and present. Suitable for beginners to intermediate.
Your Tutor
Originally from Cheshire, I attained an art foundation with distinction at Manchester before moving to Brighton where I completed an Honours Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. I am lucky enough to live by the sea in Newhaven, East Sussex with two adored cats as part of my family but am also based in Altrincham. Cheshire. I can often be found painting plein air in the summer with a borrowed doggy companion. My paintings are an exploration of rich colour, mood and light with a special interest in reflections. I enjoy painting any kind of subject matter such as still life, seascape, landscape although my particular favourite is people and pet portraiture.
