With his guardianship of the Argus photographic archive, Andy will take us on a journey of the trivial to not so trivial events that have been a part of our local news, going as far back as the 1930's. With press photos, the talk will be centred on Rottingdean and the surrounding areas, but will also include Brighton, Hove, people, places and events that will bring back many memories, and you may even find yourself saying "Ooooh I remember that"!

Andy Garth was born and bred in Brighton and was involved in the Property Business for over 45 years. He now has Guardianship for the Photographic Archive of the Argus Newspaper. Under the banner of "Brighton and Hove Stuff", Andy is well known for his talks describing events and showing photos from 1930-1993, of all things that happened in our area and was newsworthy over those times, ranging from major events to lost dogs!
Andy lived in Rottingdean for 5 years in the late 1980's to the early 1990's and now lives in Woodingdean.
