Dr Jeannie Labno BSc(Hons), BA(Hons), DipCIStuds(Open), MA, DPhil
Independent art historian specialising in Renaissance art, with associated interests in the art and architecture of Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. 
I taught for many years at the Open University and the University of Sussex, and have presented invited lectures at the Whiteway Centre, Worthing Arts Club, Towner Gallery and the National Gallery in London.
Publications include Renaissance, Art Spotlights series (2008) The Ivy Press, Commemorating the Polish Renaissance Child: Polish Funeral Monuments and their European Context (2011) Ashgate Publishing and the forthcoming chapter ‘Dead but not Departed – the consolation of the dangerous gaze: funerary portraits in Early Modern Poland and Roman Egypt’ (In press) Routledge.
