Course Description |

This course will explore the lives and music of three of Bach's sons: Wilhelm Friedmann Bach (1710 - 1784), Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 - 1788) and Johann Christian Bach (1735 - 1782). All three played important roles in the period that saw the end of the baroque period and the gradual emergence of what became known as the classical style. No specialised musical knowledge is needed to join - just an interest in listening to music and finding out more about it. Five weeks |
