Course Description
This class is suitable for people who have not done any French since they left school. The emphasis is on communication and speaking French, and each week a topic will be explored to help this process. The lessons consist of material from the internet, worksheets and conversation with fellow students. The hope is to make the learning process fun and instructive.
Your Tutor

Sarah Snow grew up in Belgium where her education was conducted in French and Flemish from the age of five. This helped turn her into a lifelong Francophile. She has spent time travelling in France and other French speaking countries both in Europe and further afield. Throughout her career in education overseas, she taught French to both children and adults.

Her interests include culture, food and history and she is often seen in costume giving talks in the area about women from different historic eras. As well as teaching French, she has taught ESL to adults across the world and loves the challenge of language learning herself.

One of her beliefs about learning and speaking a new or different language is that it should be fun. The enjoyment of learning should always be central to life.

It is through communication that we enjoy the world around us.
