This is the second single session following on from the autumn course.

Explore this fascinating topic using the versatile medium of acrylic. You will learn how to design a still life composition, the use of colour and artistic licence, acrylic brushwork, layering and painting techniques as well as how to paint shadows and light. We will be using man made and natural objects, fabrics, glass, reflections and much more. Caroline will be setting up displays and students will be designing their own. Students will be given time to complete a painting with the same set ups over a few weeks. To inspire creativity we will be periodically looking at historical and contemporary artists work.

Suitable for beginners and intermediates. You will need acrylics, flat and round brushes, rigger brush, acrylic paper, canvas or canvas board, palette. Students are welcome to bring in their own still life to work on.
