This course is designed for those who want to improve their conversational skills and already have a solid grasp of Italian grammar.

We’ll work with articles, videos, and short stories to spark discussion and build confidence in speaking. Materials will be shared in advance, so you'll have time to prepare and participate more actively.

Open to anyone with a good foundation who wants to practise Italian through real, engaging content.

The course runs over three terms, allowing you to deepen your understanding and fluency progressively as you explore new topics and vocabulary each term.

Roberta Bonfà is a qualified native Italian teacher with a strong academic background and a passion for language education. She holds QTLS status (2015), a PGCE from the University of Brighton (2014), and a DITALS 2nd level certification (2011), equivalent to CELTA/DELTA. She also earned a Laurea in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Pisa (1998).

Roberta adopts a communicative approach, ensuring students to actively participate from the very first lesson. She integrates grammar in a clear, accessible way while developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Beyond language, Roberta offers insights into Italian culture and customs. She creates a welcoming, interactive environment where students feel confident expressing themselves. Whether teaching children, adults, or exam-level students, she tailors her lessons to each group’s needs.
