Course Description
8 Weeks - Course dates are September 22nd and 29th. October 13th and 20th. November 10th, 17th and 24^th. December 8thThis course introduces participants to stargazing and astronomy as a popular and fascinating leisure activity. Sessions will include observing a wide variety of interesting objects in the night sky using our eyes, binoculars or a small telescope. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with some basic knowledge. No equipment is required but a notebook and pen may be useful.

William Joyce has created and presented introductory, intermediate and advanced astronomy and planetary science talks and short courses over many years, for schools, the public, college and university students, and is actively involved with space-related outreach events. These talks and courses include a mix of key concepts and cutting-edge discoveries covering a variety of fascinating topics, presented in engaging, up-to-date, easily understood sessions with plenty of interactive discussions.
