Event Description |
Dr Farina will provide an introductory talk about dementia, covering the causes and impact of the condition at a personal and societal level. In this talk Dr Farina will also highlight the current evidence about potential risk factors of dementia and what this means for our lifestyle choices. |
Presenter |
Dr Farina is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Dementia Studies at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Dr Farina completed a BSc in Psychology and Neuroscience at Keele University and MSc in Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol, before moving to the University of Sussex to complete his PhD in Psychology. Since completing his PhD he has worked at the Centre for Dementia Studies where he has led an eclectic range of dementia-related research, spanning understanding the impact of dementia on people’s quality of life to tackling dementia-related stigma internationally.
